In this presentation, LEGO will highlight its approach to IFM across EU, APAC, and LatAm that included office space and highly specialized manufacturing facilities. LEGO formulated and implemented its global IFM strategy from Billund, Denmark. Key factors were picking a single global supplier, optimizing the organization, and building a supplier governance team with the right competencies. LEGO will highlight key lessons learned from a global FM solution to date and how the strategy adapted to FM markets of different maturities – China, Mexico, EU, etc.

 

9:30-10:30 am - Plenary Session 8: Third Generation Sourcing Strategy In a Multi-Divisional, Multi-Regional & Multi-Stakeholder Environment

GSK has a complex portfolio comprised of manufacturing, offices and labs across different divisions. In this presentation, GSK will highlight how to build a global IFM sourcing strategy across a complex stakeholder environment, and key steps to building alignment around a common course of action. In addition to multiple divisions, each with its own priorities, the sourcing strategies were at different levels of maturity – some were third generation, while others were in the midst of implementing first generation. GSK will outline how market intelligence, alignment workshops, stakeholder objectives and FM operations lessons learned, were central to defining and obtaining stakeholder sign-off to GSK’s third generation sourcing strategy.
